Short Biography
Dr. Ayşe Aydındoğmuş completed her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing in 2014, her Master’s degree in 2017, and her PhD in 2021. She has nine years of clinical experience in internal medicine, geriatrics, and coronary intensive care units. Her academic and professional work primarily focuses on healthy aging, geriatric nursing, community-based care services, mindfulness, post-traumatic growth, and improving the quality of life of older adults.
Between 2021 and 2023, she served as a full-time Project Coordinator for the European _Union_–funded “Elder Rights Movement” project. In this role, she actively contributed to the planning and implementation of multidimensional intervention programs addressing the physical, psychological, and social needs of older adults.
As a co-founder of an initiative in Northern Cyprus that develops innovative service models aimed at enhancing the quality of life of older individuals, she has organized workshops, training programs, and seminars. In 2022, she received an award in the EU-funded Innovative Entrepreneurship Project competition for her business idea in the field of elderly care.
She has held administrative positions including Acting Dean, Head of the Nursing Department, and Director of the Vocational School of Health Services. In 2023, she served as a Board Member of the Turkish Cypriot Nurses and Midwives Association.
Dr. Aydındoğmuş’s academic work emphasizes a holistic approach to elderly health, raising social awareness, and developing sustainable models in care services.
