Short Biography
Muhammad Asif Rabbani is an Assistant Professor in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Cyprus Aydin University, North Cyprus. He obtained his PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Cyprus International University in 2023. He completed his Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Girne American University in 2016 and his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Eastern Mediterranean University in 2001.
Dr. Rabbani has extensive academic and teaching experience in electrical engineering and related interdisciplinary areas. Since 2016, he has been actively involved in undergraduate and graduate education, teaching a wide range of courses including Circuit Theory, Electronics, Electromagnetic Theory, Digital Image Processing, Quantum Physics, Power Electronics Systems, Control Systems, Renewable Energy, and Advanced VLSI Design. His teaching portfolio also includes courses such as Calculus, Complex Analysis, Analog and Digital Communication, and Senior Design Projects.
His research interests focus on renewable energy systems, smart grids, photovoltaic integration, power electronics, sustainable energy technologies, and energy efficiency. He has also worked on energy storage technologies, particularly supercapacitor materials for advanced energy storage applications. In addition, his work includes interdisciplinary research in biomedical sensing technologies and image processing. Dr. Rabbani has published several research articles in international peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. His publications address topics such as solar-powered energy systems, thermodynamic optimization of refrigeration and power systems, photovoltaic grid integration, and sustainable energy solutions. He has also contributed book chapters on renewable energy, smart grid optimization, bioenergy production from biomass, and the use of drone technologies for healthcare logistics. His research and academic work contribute to advancing sustainable energy technologies and modern electrical engineering systems
