Short Biography
Assist. Prof. Dr. Ecem Oksal Güneş
She was born in Mersin in 1984. She completed her undergraduate studies at Çukurova University between 2003-2007 and her master's degree between 2008-2011. In 2016, she began her doctorate studies at Istanbul Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing. In 2017, she transferred to Çukurova University and completed her doctorate in Child Health and Diseases Nursing in 2021. While continuing her master's programs after her undergraduate graduation, she worked in the Pediatric Surgery operating room at Çukurova University Balcalı Hospital, the Pediatric Infectious Diseases and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Mersin City Hospital, and the Child and Adolescent Addiction Center in Mersin. In 2023, she began working at Cyprus Aydın University as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Child Health and Diseases Nursing. In the field of Pediatrics, she has national projects and international publications on child and newborn nutrition, pediatric oncology and alternative therapies and child and adolescent addiction. She also continues to practice yoga therapies with chronically ill children, having received training in child and adolescent yoga therapy and healing techniques.
