Short Biography
Elif Öykü Akın began her undergraduate studies in the Department of English Language Teaching at Girne American University and completed her Master’s degree in English Language Teaching at the same institution in 2025.
Throughout her academic and professional development, she has conducted studies focusing on language teaching, learner-centered approaches, and the student experience in higher education. For approximately 1.5 years, she has been serving as the Student Dean at Cyprus Aydın University, where she actively contributes to strengthening student support mechanisms and enhancing students’ engagement in university life.
Akın continues her work with a focus on student well-being in higher education, language teaching, supporting learning processes, and the integration of mindfulness practices. Her academic interests primarily center on inclusive education, student-centered practices, and teacher development.
