Short Biography
Lecturer Seda Erdoğan Gedik completed her undergraduate education in the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at Near East University in 2016. She received her master’s degree in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation from the European University of Lefke in 2021 and is currently pursuing her PhD in the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at Eastern Mediterranean University. Her academic interests focus on physiotherapy and rehabilitation sciences, particularly in the areas of orthopedic rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, electrotherapy applications, and rehabilitation approaches.
Since 2018, Erdoğan Gedik has been working as a lecturer at the School of Health Services, Cyprus Science University, where she also serves as the Head of the Physiotherapy Program. Within the scope of her academic duties, she teaches both theoretical and practical courses at undergraduate and associate degree levels in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation. In addition, she actively contributes to the planning and supervision of students’ clinical practice and professional internship processes. Her teaching responsibilities include courses such as orthopedic rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation, geriatric rehabilitation, pulmonary rehabilitation, cardiac rehabilitation, electrotherapy, manipulative therapy, kinesiology, heat-light-hydrotherapy, rehabilitation in rheumatic diseases, sports for individuals with disabilities, and rehabilitation technologies.
Erdoğan Gedik continues her scientific studies in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation and has presented papers at international scientific conferences. In this context, she presented a study titled “The Effect of Sociodemographic Characteristics on Physical Activity Level, Quality of Life, and Hopelessness in Young Adults During the COVID-19 Pandemic” at the International Health Services Sustainability Congress (IHSSC 2021). She also presented a study titled “Patient Satisfaction Scale for Patients Receiving Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Treatment” at the 1st International Conference on Education and Social Sciences (2023). She continues her academic research in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation, particularly focusing on the effectiveness of rehabilitation approaches, quality of life, and the evaluation of clinical outcomes.
