Doç. Dr. Tuğrul Günay, Turizm Yönetimi alanında lisans eğitimini Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli Üniversitesi’nde (2015), yüksek lisansını Yaşar Üniversitesi’nde (2017) ve doktora eğitimini Doğu Akdeniz Üniversitesi’nde (2021) tamamlamıştır. Akademik kariyerine 2019 yılında başlamış; Cyprus West University’de Öğretim Görevlisi, Cyprus Science University’de Doktor Öğretim Üyesi olarak görev yapmıştır. 2025 yılından itibaren Kıbrıs Aydın Üniversitesi’nde Doçent Doktor olarak akademik çalışmalarını sürdürmektedir. Çalışma alanları arasında yeşil pazarlama, destinasyon pazarlaması, dijital pazarlama, hizmet kalitesi ve sürdürülebilir tüketici davranışı yer almaktadır. Ulusal ve uluslararası hakemli dergilerde yayımlanmış çok sayıda makalesi, kitapları, kitap bölümleri ve bilimsel bildirileri bulunmaktadır. Lisans ve lisansüstü düzeyde dersler vermekte, yüksek lisans tez danışmanlığı yapmaktadır. Akademik çalışmalarının yanı sıra idari görevler de üstlenmektedir. Kıbrıs Aydın Üniversitesi’nde Uluslararası Öğrenciler Dekanlığı, Uluslararası İlişkiler Direktörlüğü ve Uygulamalı Bilimler Fakültesi Dekan Yardımcılığı görevlerini halen sürdürmektedir. Eğitim-öğretim süreçleri, kalite güvencesi, uluslararasılaşma stratejileri ve akademik koordinasyon alanlarında aktif rol almaktadır.
